JOB: SENIOR/LEAD CHEFLOCATION: FALMOUTHSALARY: £36,000 + TIPSWe are seeking a Senior Chef for our clients in Falmouth.This position operates as the senior day to day chef, working closely with the breakfast chef and taking responsibility for prep, production, standards, and the delivery of regular onsite functions.You will step in to cover the breakfast chef’s days off when needed, lead event execution from preparation through to service, and oversee key kitchen systems including food safety, allergen management, ordering support, and function menu costing.It’s a hands-on role suited to a calm, capable chef who values autonomy, variety, and ownership, without the politics of a large brigade.TO APPLY PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV TO: stephanie@winners-recruitment.co.ukOr Call for more information 01872 264744 Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations Lead team management activities, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and optimise customer satisfaction Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to maximise efficiency Maintain organised workstations and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current trends and customer preferencesExperience Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting Supervising experience in a culinary context is highly desirable Strong background in food production, food safety standards, and culinary techniques Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and presentation skills Experience in serving customers directly or managing front-of-house operations is advantageous Familiarity with health regulations and best practices in kitchen safety and hygiene
