We are looking for a Fabrication Operative  Department: Fabrication OperativeReporting to: Fabrication ManagerLocation: Warehouse/Site based, Longdowns, Penryn  Our client is a  FENSA registered window and door provider, installer and manufacturer based just outside of Penryn. Our staff are dedicated to delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service and aftercare support to their clients. As part of the Team, you will have a strong eye for detail, fantastic communication skills and strong manufacturing experience. Your ability to work alongside others under supervision or independently, both efficiently and reliably, is of the utmost importance.  Key Qualities of a Fabrication Operative: Punctual, efficient, and tidy with a strong work ethic. Personal drive to achieve, the desire to improve and meet high standards with a strong attention to detail and takes pride in own work. Ability to work well in a team and under your own initiative where required. Attention to detail and an understanding of business policies and procedures such as Health and Safety, Industry accreditation and standards. Skilled in fabricating aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling. Experience using mitre saws and fenestration machinery. You will be required to: Comply with all relevant Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and appropriate Risk Assessments Work from design drawings to cut and fabricate windows, doors, and curtain walling. This will involve using automated machinery and hands on assembly work. Safely operate various machinery, including automated saw, crimper, copy router, pillar drill, end saw and others whilst using the relevant PPE. Handle materials and finished products in line with manual handling procedures Carry out quality checks on all finished items before they are packed and loaded. Packing and loading of finished products and accessories ready for site deliveries and dispatch Report hazards, accidents or near misses immediately to management. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and organisation to ensure the warehouse is tidy and free from unnecessary hazards. Assisting in supporting the development of Trainee fabrication operatives. Assist in any other duties as directed by management as required, this may include but is not limited to vehicle cleaning, warehouse maintenance, recycling and rubbish removal, promotional events, loading and unloading, and the delivery of materials to site.
