Design Engineers will be trained to manage a range of exciting projects from concept to completion. They will work within the main manufacturing site to aid the sale and design process, through to fabrication for hand over to installation teams. The successful candidate will be a professional CAD operative in Solidworks working in a small articulate team of 4 design engineers, with some 2D Autocad duties. As such high level CAD experience with these systems is essential, including Weldments, Smart modelling Fabrication Metal & Joinery detailing skills. The Role: Produce CAD staircase drawings and detailed fabrication packs in Solidworks according to information supplied. Client facing – must be fluent in English, comfortable in all project communications using Teams, Email and Telephone. Work with both internal and external customers in order to produce designs that satisfy all areas whilst within budgetary requirements Essential Knowledge requirements: Previous experience of using Solidworks Experience of AutoCad – only used for CNC Dxf outputs & Site/Client survey data. Experienced 3d CAD Detailer (Metalwork or Joinery) Must have a meticulous, disciplined approach and work to a high level of accuracy. Desirable: Experience working with third party contractors and support services. Familiar with working in larger project teams and maintaining ownership of designs beyond sign-off stage to ensure continuity and consistency of design principles. Fabrication knowledge (Metal / Joinery) Salary: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year DOE Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm – office based.
