Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year Job Description: Assembly & Test Operative Full-time £25,000 – £27,000 – DOE Monday–Friday Permanent FalmouthWinners Recruitment are currently seeking an Assembly & Test Operative to join a small, friendly, and dedicated team based in Falmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is technically minded, detail-focused, and enjoys hands-on, precision work. The successful candidate will play a key role in assembling, testing, and repairing electronic equipment used across a range of industries. Key Responsibilities: Assemble electronic instruments by following written instructions and technical documentation Carry out soldering and rework of assembled PCBs to a high standard, including both surface-mount and through-hole components Test production batches of electronic assemblies and circuit boards in line with in-house procedures Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies and circuit boards at component level Perform basic mathematical calculations (ratios, percentages, etc.) accurately and confidently Use standard electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, bench meters, and signal generators Read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams and analyse circuit behaviour using standard measurement techniques Maintain excellent organisation and quality standards while working both independently and as part of a small team Support colleagues flexibly to ensure production schedules and quality targets are met Electronics experience or knowledge is required Ideally should be able to identify electronic components on a circuit diagram (chokes, resistors etc) and know their function as you will be expected to fault find.About You: Previous experience in electronics assembly, testing, or repair (or a strong interest in developing these skills) Confident in soldering and working with electronic components Organised, methodical, and able to work with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Excellent communication and teamwork skills Comfortable using computers for data entry and reporting Ideally educated to GCSE level (Grade C/4 or equivalent) in Mathematics or similarHours & Benefits: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (37 hours per week) Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience) 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 with service) Company pension after qualifying period Friendly, supportive working environment within a well-established, reputable business
