QA Auditor
Role: Quality AuditorWhere: Bodmin Salary: From £16 Per HourWinners Recruitment are currently seeking a Quality Auditor to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in Bodmin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and experience within a food production or manufacturing environment. Working within the Technical team, you will play a key role in maintaining food safety, quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, verifying quality processes, supporting production teams, and ensuring products consistently meet both customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct independent line quality checks to ensure products meet specification requirements. Support production teams and Line Quality Controllers in resolving quality issues and non-conformances. Carry out internal audits in line with the site audit schedule and produce accurate audit reports. Conduct weekly traceability exercises involving multiple departments across the business. Complete regular hygiene, GMP, and glass audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Audit production records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist with product release processes and maintain accurate records. Investigate customer complaints and support corrective action processes. Manage and monitor non-conforming products through the quarantine and hold system. Work closely with Technical Coordinators regarding returned, recalled, or non-compliant stock. Support HACCP reviews and food safety initiatives. Conduct daily taste panels and report findings, escalating any quality concerns. Attend factory trials and support New Product Development activities. Organise product samples and supporting documentation for customer quality panels. Represent the Technical team during daily operational review meetings. What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience Previous experience within a Quality, Technical, or Food Safety role. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns quickly and accurately. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Good organisational and record-keeping skills. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Good understanding of GMP, food safety, and quality standards.Personal Attributes Proactive and solutions-focused approach. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong sense of accountability and ownership. Passion for maintaining high standards and continuous improvement. Professional, reliable, and punctual. Key Performance MeasuresSuccess within this role will be measured through: Completion of audits in line with schedule. Timely completion of line quality checks. Effective management of non-conforming products. Weekly reporting and follow-up of non-conformances. Achievement of departmental KPIs. Accurate reporting of taste panel results.
