The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.  TO APPLY PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV TO: stephanie@winners-recruitment.co.uk or for more information please call Steph at Winners Recruitment, Truro, on 01872 264744  Key duties and responsibilities will include:- Assuming full accountability for the smooth running of the kitchen service in the head chef's absence.- Ensuring consistent food standards and quality are maintained throughout all production stages.- Leading and motivating the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations at all times.- Mentoring and guiding junior chefs to support their professional growth.- Supervising food service to ensure adherence to restaurant standards in presentation.- Collaborating with the Head Chef in menu planning and ensuring accurate costing of all dishes.- Following food labelling and temperature control guidelines for compliance.- Sourcing and purchasing all food and related products from approved suppliers to meet budgeted cost controls.- Implementing strategies to minimize kitchen waste.- Safeguarding the maintenance and care of all kitchen equipment.- Coordinating engineer call-outs as needed for equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar senior culinary role, possess excellent leadership skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding high food quality standards.
